Do-it-yourself books recalled Sticky

An addition to this STICKY should be Wiring a House, 3rd Edition and Wiring Complete, Expert Advice from Start to Finish. This book was written by Rex Cauldwell.

I'm sad to hear that this author had a problem, as he seems so well informed.

Has anyone heard anything about an update?

ALSO, I can't seem to find an indication as to the date of publishing, or which code cycle it is written for, except for the note that says "Sold at: Home improvement stores, book stores, and various other retailers nationwide from February 2008 through November 2008 for about $25." I'm not sure that this is the same date of publication.

if you have the book, page 188 was indicated as having the diagram of a GFCI incorrectly drawn. The text is supposedly correct, but not the diagram.

If it's a minor mistake, can't they just publish an errata instead? Cisco can be good for that. The errata is bigger then the actual text book. LOL

Yeah, you'd think so. Maybe they're thinking that if there's one mistake noticed, there may be others that were overlooked, and once a book is sold, how would you get the errata to the customer?
