Do I need to replace my Puck Light transformer?

have two (2) strings of four puck lights operate from one (1) dimmer switch in my kitchen. Last time i turned them on, there was a bright flash and everything died. I still have power and replaced a few bulbs. Do I need to replace my transformer, or buy two new sets?
