Question

Disposal and Sink Light quit working

Last week my garbage disposal and light above the sink both quit working. I am not 100% positive they it was at the same time as I had originally thought the bulb was just out in the fixture and later realized the disposal wasn't working a day or 2 later.

There is currently power to both the light switches but neither fixture turns on. I haven't found any other disruptions in the house. All the other fixtures and outlets in the kitchen work as these 2 switches seem to be on a separate circuit.

Thanks for any ideas for me to check next!

If you have power available, then check for a bad neutral.

Open the panel cover and inspect the affected neutral (white) connection at it's termination point.

Turn off power, remove the switches and check connections inside the box.

While power is off, test everything else to see if something else is on that circuit. If so, start remove the last working recep or switch, closest to the DW switch.
