Dimmer switch not working

We installed a new light fixture and the dimmer switch which was working no longer works. Is there a special way to hook up the new light fixture to the ceiling housing unit.

Dimmer switch not working

What kind of bulbs are in the fixture? Does the dimmer turn the light on/off and just not dim, or does the light not turn on at all?

You can test your wiring by temporarily replacing the dimmer with a regular switch to see if the fixture works.

Dimmer switch not working

That works also^. If no extra switch is available you can wire nut the feed and.switch leg together. That also will show if the light works
