Dimmer Switch Installation

I replaced a dimmer switch, but when I switched the breaker back on, down was "on" and up was "off". I removed the switch, and switched the wires around, but down was still "on", and up was still "off".

How can I get it so the switch in the up position turns the lights on, not off?

Thanks,

HZ

Dimmer Switch Installation

You put the switch in upside-down. Flip it over!
