Dimmer questions...

I have a light in the kitchen that is currently connected to two wall switches.

I am going to be taking that one light out and wiring in 5-7 recessed cans.

Can I swap out the two normal switches with dimmers?

This shouldn't be a problem will it?

Thanks in advance!

No problem. Be sure to use a 3-way dimmer and be very clear on how the old switch was wired.

Yes. Be sure you identify the "common" and the two travelers.

Thx Petey.

Will both work as active dimmers?? Only one?

They do make dimmers that will work from both locations. I have not used them yet. I still use the dimmer in one location.

Right, what JB said.
The multi location dimmers are generically know as "smart" dimmers. They are more money for each and you typically must use one in every location. As opposed to a typical 3-way dimmer which you can only use in one location.
