digital timer install to a three way switch

1. Does the box have space for the timer or are you removing the 3 way switch to install the timer?

2. When the other 3 way switch would have the light on, what should the timer do?

3. When the other 3 way switch would have the light off, what should the timer do?

4. What are the descriptions of the red and black wires on the timer?

The timer is only a two way timer. You need a three way timer. It will have one more wire.
