Different wiring on replacement dimmer switch

I am attempting to replace a 3-way (not single pole) dimmer switch and while I'm sure I have the right replacement part, the colors of the wiring on the new switch are a bit different. Below is the type of switch I am replacing/using to replace:

The old switch has four wires in the back, grouped into two pairs - from left to right, it's the green grounding wire paired with a black wire, then a black paired with a red (green, two black, one red). The new switch has (from left to right) a black paired with a red, then a red paired with the green (green, two red, one black).

Since the new switch doesn't match up color wise, should I be replicating the existing wiring using the two red in place of the existing two black, and the single black in place of the existing single red?

Different wiring on replacement dimmer switch

Did it come with instructions? Hopefully, they will explain. My guess is that the black is common, green is ground, and the two reds are the two runners.
