DC Battery Charging

Is it safe top use a 12-volt (300 milliamp) charger to charge a 9.2 volt NiMH (2400 milliamp). When charging the battery I noticed the charge at nearly 13 volts. Someone told me that as long as you stay within 1.2-1.4 of the battery ..your ok.

Is that true? It seems logical I would want a 9.2 volt charger.

DC Battery Charging

Its not safe, the battery life will be put way down, and the battery might explode, and catch things on fire.

DC Battery Charging

NiMh batteries require NiMh chargers. There is a lot more to it than just running current through the battery.
