Cutting outlet hole in mirror

I need to mount a 2x4 old work box in a mirror. What type of tool(s) do I need for this? Do they make a rotozip bit that can cut through mirror/glass?

If you e-mail rotozip they get back to you really fast, a couple hours later.

Cutting outlet hole in mirror

Its not fun, when my house was being remodeled, the electricians kept breaking the mirror.

The electricians were just careless...

Rotozip should get the job done.

I would never try to do what you plan. I know if I tried to do it, it would break the glass. Draw the box outline on the mirror exactly where you want it to go. Then take it to a glass company and let THEM cut it. I guaranty they too will warn that breakage may occur, and may not take responsibility. Good luck. Let us know how this comes out. It's an interesting question.
