Custom Turntable cabinet wiring

SPIT Newbie   Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 14	Custom Turntable cabinet wiring i'm building a custom turntable cabinet with an old Califone. i'd like to wire a lamp i've built over the top of the turntable only using the one plug. can i tap into the main power inside the turntable to a toggle switch and to the light receptacle? would that cause any problems?
