crouse hinds circuit breaker replacement with left side hook

How do I remove a crouse hinds circuit breaker replacement with left side hook? Tried to pivot out but it will not come out. It seems to be caught by the hook to the adjacent breaker.

What is a "left side hook"?

Is this a main breaker? If so then there is a breaker retention device holding it in, that may be the "hook".
And if so, HOW are you doing this with the power on???

No the regular 15 and 20a breakers have this funny hook. Never worked on one just seen them.

Try removing the adjacent breaker first. If you can get it out, then the one in question should follow.
If not, you will have to try to disengage the hooks. Final solution is cut the hook off.

Challenger also made the same type of breaker. They are a half size, wafer, or piggyback breaker.
Here is a pic of a right side Challenger.

If you bend that hook to much in removing it, I would replace the breaker rather than trying to re-bend it.

I hate the damn things as much as Stabloks.
