counting circuits in breaker box

When you are counting the number of circuits in a breaker box do you count the 220 circuits as one or two?

For your panel all this means is that you CANNOT use any twin (or skinny, or half sized) breakers.

A 40/40 panel will hold 40- 1" full sized breakers, with two pole breakers taking up two spaces.

A 20/40 can take 20- 1" breakers or up to 20 twin breakers.

Get it?

just a wild guess but from the model number, I wwould say it max's at 30 circuits.

I'll have to try to look it up later when I have more time.
