Cost for wiring

I'm looking to have an electrician run wiring for a ceiling fan. The room currently has no ceiling electrical at all, so they would be installing the switch to a ceiling box. It's easy access in the attic above, so my question is what price range am I looking at for a job like this? I'll be installing the fan myself. Thx

Why not call around in your local and get some estimates? The labor rates would be on par for you location.

This will depend greatly on where you live, local codes, and your actual situation. It's hard to give estimates via the interwebs.

Dallas Texas, no codes, I mean it's a simple switch leg to a ceiling box. Does $250 sound about right?

I'd say that is within range.

If you think you're capable of installing the fan, why not do the whole job yourself?
