Convert battery-powered device to AC

I have a small camera that uses a single Lithium CR123A battery to operate. I'd like to be able to plug this into an electrical outlet instead. Can anyone help me with step by step instructions and type of adapter needed? Thanks in advance!

Depending on the camera, it may have a spot on the side of the camera for an AC power adapter. If it does, you can pick up an adapter at most Best Buy or Radio Shacks.

Nope. No power adapter spot.

It would be very difficult, and somewhat pricey. My advice, if money allows, is to buy a new camera.

I'd probably get a DC power adapter of the correct voltage, the solder the wires to the contacts

How do I determine the correct voltage of the adapter? Can you recommend an adapter? Also, is it really as simple as just splicing the two adapter wires and attaching them to the battery terminals? If so, one wire to each terminal?
