Connect 30A subpanel to 60A/240V A/C Disconnect?
Hello all, I have a question I hope I can get some help on. I recently bought a house and had them pre-wire for a hot tub installing a 60A/240V AC Disconnect at the back. Its wired to (2) 50A breakers in the service panel. OK, now that i'm in the house, I'm broke and all the misses and I can afford right now is a hot tub that only requires a 30A/115V service. It would be nice to set it up where i can provide power to the hot tub and then wire up an outlet and some lighting.
The AC Disconnect is a Ferraz Shawmut DSNP60M and page 12 of this pre-delivery instructions shows what I need to connect to: http://www.solanaspas.com/pdfs/solan...ry_inst_04.pdf
so I know i will need at least a 30A GFCI subpanel.
I realize that it can be run off 15A/115V but i dont have an outlet over here and if i have to do something anyway, I may as well do it right. Thanks in advance for any advice on how I go about doing this!
