Conduit - Best Practices

I need to run some conduit along a wall to supply 6 lights on the tops of posts. The posts are pre-fab and will be hollow so getting the conduit in there is not a problem.

What is the best way to run conduit in this situation? Currently the area behind the wall is available to run conduit and make the connections, but my concern is how then to fish the wire to each light.

Also, the wire package says THHN, but the wire jacket says THHN/THWN. So which is it?

Thanks.
