If I had to improvise a tool for making various bends in EMT, I'd probably come up with something like an L-shaped piece of bar stock with a couple of 1/2" metal pins sticking out from the sides at the corner and bottom tip of the L. Like this:

The dashes are the bar stock, and the pins are the asterisks. By positioning the tool with one pin over and one pin under the EMT, you can bend it a little, slide the tool along, bend it a little, and so on.

Or just go buy a hickey. It's pretty much the same principle, but designed for the purpose.

This will be most likely a one time deal so is there any ideas on making a tool from scrap steel or wood that will do the job for me???
Not really it only cost me couple hundreds Euros and I used more than just electrical conduit but used on other items as well.{ I have this one for over 15 years }

You can make a jig rig of plywood and use the roller to follow the curve of the plywood { you will have to make couple layers to handle the pressure of the conduit }

This is what most people use to bend EMT conduit.
