Question

compressing RCA male connectors onto RG-6 cable

hi, i am having problems fitting an RCA male connectors onto RG-6 cable. i did make sure that the connectors are for RG-6 and not 59 cable. i am using a Klein compress tool, the yellow one, you may be familiar, which can be used for both F and RCA connectors, unlike the one that comes in a cable installation kit, which is used for F only. basically, after compressing the connector onto the cable, it won't stay, i.e. no grip. i cut the cable the same way i would for an F connector, i.e. half inch bare cable exposed and another half stripped of insulation layer only, with the silver fuzzy layer pulled back. it works with F connectors but does not work for RCA connectors.

is there something i am doing wrong ?

thanks
