I heard your area is upgrading to mountain horns once the new tax passes

They voted those down. The other two families in my county hate soccer, and the horns... the horns.....

We decided... (well, I did anyways) ... that it would be nice to use a motion sensor set to 1 minute shutoff for the hallway. Cross the line, light comes on.

I guess it would never come on for me then. Growing up my dad always told me I didn't want to cross the line so I learned to never cross the line.
flashlights for me I guess.

I never use the hallway light
I opened up the wall to the main room, so plenty of natural light
I like natural light
MIl wanted to know if I grew up in a closet

There is going to be a solar tube about a foot or so away from the light, so daytime's no concern.

I had to do SOMEthing with the hole left when I pulled the furnace duct to move it....

At night I have an LED light that gives enough light to walk down the hallway
The light is also outside of my sin;s bedroom door
So we use it less

The solar tubes work nicely
Installed one in a bedroom on the 2nd floor - lots of light
--moonlight too....need a shade

Heck, there's an idea.... I'll just hang one of the outdoor solar nightlights she has outside in the hallway and let the solar tube charge it.... I don't even have to turn it on or off! LOL

hmmmmm

Might be an idea !!
I know there are light kits for the solar tubes
I'm considering installing a 12v LED in the solar tube

I'd just cut the one we have off and hang it on the wall! lol I'm too cheap to buy a kit!
As long as it gets light during the day, it'll go all night.
