Code ref. question

Hey,
I'm hunting around to find the nec code that says something dealing with simplex receps on dedicated circuits and what they can serve. Any help?

Also, does the newest code remove the gfci exception for freezers, sump pumps, etc. in a basement?

GFCI protection is required.

You are correct on the GFCI exception change, but I think it was two code cycles ago. What is your question about dedicated single receptacles? You can use them for whatever you want, unless there's some other code provision that would affect your application.
