Code Question: Electrical and plumbing

I am in the process of installing a 1/2 bath in the basement. It's been easy so far (toilet drain was roughed in already, and there's an unused 20 amp circuit running right to room!)

But.....When I opened up the existing wall that will be behind the sink, I noticed an elecrical wire running through the wall, knee high. This is almost exactly where the sink drain an supply lines will be coming out into the vanity. Now, I know I can negotiate the plumbing to avoid the electrical wire, but is there any code for distances b/w plumbing and electrical, lines crossing plumbing and electrical, etc?

Thanks for your help!!!!

Eric
