coaxil side by side with cat5 telephone wire

Is it okay to run a video/computer cable - coaxil - side by side to a cat5 telephone wire as they ascend to the third floor from the basement? I've been instructed in past to NOT do this with telephone wire and romex electrical cable but rather intersect a perpendicularity and to avoid side by side. Is it the same for coaxel and telephone wire or can they go together?

No problem at all, it's a common practice.

Been done that way for over 70 years. What makes you think things have changed?
