Coaxial Cable blew tv, computer etc...
hi there,
So i moved into a new apartment which is actually a loft in the top floor of the house.
My entertainment set-up is common with a tv being connected to my playstation.
Everything was fine with the tv except when I tried to connect my playstation/computer/dvd player using the red, white and yellow cable the playstation and what sounded like a light bulb in the televsion blew with sparks coming from the red, yellow and white connectors where I tried to plug them into the television.
I thought it could be my equipment but the same thing has happened with a replaced tv, different red, white and yellow cables, surge protectors and my computer (now in the shop) being connected.
The electrician has said the outlets are fine. The cable company has told me that the line outside is grounded and that the cable holds no charge.
My landlord is stating that it's my equipments fault which would be believable if it hadn't happened 4 times.
Every time this happens it's only when the coaxial cable is connected. Everything works fine without it. I was also staying in another room of the house for a month with the exact same set-up minus the coaxial cable with no problems.
HELP!!!!!
