closet wiring/wires

In a side by side closet is it required that each have seperate switch or can they be together ?
Also what is the max # or wires allowed in a ceiling light box with 12/2 wire ?

There is no requirement for switches in closets.

Without knowing the cubic inches of the box, nobody here could tell you.

The dimensions of the closet may prohibit or severely limit any lighting. Check Article 410 to see the exclusionary zones and types of lighting choices.

The ceiling box...

If you have access from the attic then it shouldn't be hard to do.
Have fun.

Are you sure its fed by 12/2? Thats serious overkill for residential lighting.:)

Will be easy because both lights already direct to switch box..just as singe switch.
What is the max on wires..for box../on either one.. my garage has 12/2.
