Check my Work? (Drawing)

Im planning to put in a ceiling fan in a bed room where there is currently only a switched outlet and no ceiling box. I have an end of run outlet that is near my switch location and that I can access from the attic. Just wondering if someone can make sure that my wiring plan looks correct in the drawing below. Im going to pull 14-2 from the existing outlet into the attic and put it into a junction box. From there I will bring the black wire from a piece of romex to the bottom screw of a switch, run the white wire (with black tape on the ends) back to the junction box and then connect with a wire nut to the black lead of the fan. I will connect the white from the fan to the white from the line I brought from the existing outlet. Finally, I will bring a piece of romex down to a box in the wall for a flat TV where I will put a 1 gang box and outlet. All grounds will be connected with a wire nut in the box. Look good?

Many thanks!

Almost. Looks like you correctly recolored the white wire for the switch loop black, however you should always leave on the white (even though it is recolored black) and return on the black. That way the fixture is not hooked up to two white wires.

Interesting. Ive ready just the opposite but what youre saying makes sense. If I swap those two, should I still put the hot on the bottom screw of the switch? Does it matter or is that just best practice?

It does not matter if you use the top or bottom screw.

Code in fact requires the black to be the switched wire. Which screw does not matter. You simply need to swap the black and white in the junction box.

Once you get into adding additional outlets(switches, receptacles, ect.)you get into having to use AFCI breakers,Especially in a bedroom.Check your local codes.
