Change hot tub pump from 230v to 120v


Have an old hot tub that leaks i would like to use the 230volt pumps on my koi pond. Is it possible to do this and if so how

some can be wired both ways. take the cover off the end of the motor and see if it has alternate wiring on a label inside.

Change hot tub pump from 230v to 120v


If it is in a hot tub it is probably a single voltage motor. You have to look on the rating plate to see if it can be converted.

I doubt the motor is listed for pond usage...
