Central Vac wiring...how do I get a light to go on?

I replaced the motor on my central vac system. The old outlets used 4 wires. 2 to start/stop the motor and another 2 to light up a light on the outlet that let you know it was on. The newer systems only run 2 wires to start the motor. I will eventually be replacing the wall outlets with newer ones, but wondered how I could get this light feature to work in the meantime. Any tricks of the trade?

You need a vacuum with the light option.

I'd like to repeat the same question. Any tricks of the trades from electricians out there that know how to wire such a thing? I don't want my new unit to have the light option. The new outlets will not need it.

There are a couple off the wall ticks that you could try, but none would guarntee the intergety of your brand new motor.

Since you do not want the light option, when the project is finished, I suggest getting used to it not working now. :)

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Just wanted to post to see if there were any quick tricks to get a light to go on. Seems like it would be easy to do.
