ceiling light fixture

dorothy ellis Newbie   Join Date: Aug 2012 Posts: 2	ceiling light fixture 1 copper wire, 1cord has 3 wires 1 for black connect 1 for white connect what is this 3rd wire, does it go with the 1copper wire to connect to the ground wire?

The wires you are describing, Are they in the ceiling or the fixture? What colour is the third wire?
