Ceiling fans

Does anyone know how many Ceiling fans you can run on 14/2 and how many lights you may put on that same cir. I'm thinking of running 2 fans with light kits and 2 closet lights on the same cir, would anyone recommend this?

You have 15 amps available to you on 14/2. Most ceiling fans they sell today come with a 120 watt light kit. I always guestimate on the high side for the fan motor and say that it will be pulling 1 amp on high (even though it will probably be less) and with the light kit it will be pulling another amp. So I guestimate 2 amps per fan. To figure out amps:120 watts / 120 supplied volts = 1 amp or 180 watts / 120 supplied volts = 1.5 amps So in the scenario above you each fan were drawing 2 amps with a light kit you could have 7 fans on the same circuit provided there wasn't anything else on the circuit and you would be pulling 14 amps with they all had the lights on and were running on high. Some would say that my estimates are conservative and you could safely run one more fan.
