Ceiling Fan Wall Control

I replace the wall control for my ceiling fan and forgot the set the fan on high using pull chain before rewiring. Do I need to disconnect to wall control or will shutting the breaker off work in order to set the speed.

Ceiling Fan Wall Control

Nope, just change the fan speed with the pull chain.

When I install a remote, after setting the speed on high and testing, I cut the chain short so that no pne messes with it.
