ceiling fan lights?
Hi guys, new to the forum and want to say thanks in advance. I have a ceiling fan in the master bedroom that clearly was not installed originally when the house was built about 15 years ago (its flashy and quite ugly). There is no light fixture on this "aftermarket" ceiling fan, however on the wall next to the main light switch is a dimmer switch, the circular kind that you press and depress in order to seemingly turn a light on and off. The main light switch controls one of the wall outlets. How can I find out if I'm wired for light with a new ceiling fan, or do I need an electrician to come tell me?
If you want to use the chains to operate the lights and fan then It's already wired.
All you need is incoming power which is already there.
