Ceiling fan light doesnt work

Hi everyone, I have a harbor breeze fan from Lowes and all of a sudden the light dont turn on. I changed the light bulbs and it still would not work. I disconnected the light fixture, took it down to Lowes to see if they could help. The guy tested the switch and it did not work. Since they were sold out of switches he clipped off the switch to test it again and it did work. They gave me a new light fixture and said to do a quick reconnect and if that did not work it would be the limiter. Of course when I got home it did not work. What do I do next.
Sorry for long details.

We need more info to help you out. Also some pictures of the wiring & connections couldn't hurt. On your new ceiling fan, is it just the lights that won't work or does the fan not spin either?

Did you install the fan/light yourself?

At any rate, take the fan down and check the wiring in the ceiling. A loose wire sounds like the culprit.

Check where the blue wire connects to the black wires up inside the mounting box at the ceiling.
You took it to a box store to check it.
Go buy a volt OHM meter.

Means nothing. Pros get sidetracked too, sometimes.

Let us know the results?

I have a meter already, would I need to check all the wires?
