Ceiling Fan Light Bulbs?

I have just installed a Hunter ceiling fan in my home. The light kit calls for two chandelier type light bulbs. These two bulbs do not put off much light. Does anyone have a suggestion on better types of bulbs to use that will put off more light and be as much or more energy efficient. Thanks!

What watts are you using. Will most likely handle 60 watt.

They are 60 watts bulbs. It's just that they don't seem to put off enough light for the rooms needs.

Two things you may want to get a different light kit with more bulbs. Also make sure if it is remote control operated the lights are not dimmed.

Ceiling Fan Light Bulbs?

The fan does have to be used with remote. Do you know how to verify that it is not dimmed and if it is how to make the dimmer brighter? Thanks for your help!

I get this complaint quite a bit, ever since ceiling fans went "GREEN" which means they joined forces with energy star, your not really going to like light kits with ceiling fans anymore.

Most remotes you just hold the light switch down and it will dim or brighten. If that does not work find the owners manual.

The 60 watt bulb is enough for normal house work but for other works it wont suit. Better check for the connection made and the electrical work.
