ceiling bracket ground question


Was watching a youtube video, and saw this:



Is it true that you have to attach ground to the green screw if it's a plastic box? I thought you only had to do that if they were metal boxes.

ceiling bracket ground question


You're always supposed to ground the metal mounting brackets regardless if the box is plastic or metal.


an actual plastic box doesnt get grounded(in the US), but a metal box would.
