CAT6 Brand Question.

I have been looking at various CAT6 brands online. I found what seemed to be one that met all the recommended specs, however, not sure if the brand is OK. Does this look OK for residential use? Also it is CMR rated. I planned to run this in smurf tube through walls and ceiling. Wanted to make sure that was OK. Also, is there any issues if I also put my rg6 quad shield coaxial cable in the same smurf tube? I did not think so, but wanted to get feedback.

CAT6 Brand Question.

Cheaper at monoprice http://www.monoprice.com/Category?c_id=102&cp_id=10234 A little cheaper at Parts-Express http://www.parts-express.com/cat/cat...t-6-cable/1607 Also Newegg is cheaper http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=-1&isNodeId=1

Personally with Cat-5e still pretty cheap, and will handle everything that a homeowner will throw at it, you may be better off with Cat-5e, if cost is a issue.

I ran all Cat 6 stuff from monoprice with no problems. Works well.

CAT6 Brand Question.

Thanks for the quick replies. Cost is generally not an issue within reason. I looked at the Belden, however, that is too expensive. I was looking to get STP instead of UTP. Ideally I want CAT6, 23 awg, STP, solid, and in wall rated. My goal is to future proof as much within reason. We stream a lot of high definition TV. I could not find any brand information on the amazon.com bulk cable and generally had a hard time finding bulk cable online that met the specs above. Any help would be much appreciated.

CAT6 Brand Question.

You could always send Ethernet-Cords a email, to find out what brand their bulk stuff is.

CAT6 Brand Question.

They have been around since 1987. Now the question is, where is their product manufactured, and does it meet the correct ISO spec's., ISO 11801/2002.
