Can you mix 20 and 15-20 circuit breakers in same electrical box?

The tandems allow two circuits to fit in the space of one breaker slot.

The "quad" allows one to add a 240V circuit to a full panel without losing two 120V circuits in the process. Or gain two 120V circuits from the space occupied by a 240V circuit.

Separate handle tied tandems can serve a MWBC, but typically not a 240V circuit because they would likely be independent trip, not common trip.
