Cable TV Line

So my dog chewed through the cable TV line outside of my house. What do I need to do to fix it?

is my best bet running an entire new line? and if so what kind of cable is best?

Seriously.
If you own the cable cut a piece off and bring it in somewhere to match it. Get the proper ends and couplings for that cable. There are a couple of different sizes/styles.

If it is on the cable company side call them and they will fix it.

Just make sure that you hit it with the mower a couple of times. Actually, if you can, trench it deeper and put some rock over the line to keep the critter from digging. You can also contain it in some Schedule 40, but remember to seal the ends with some Silicon caulk.

Maybe there is one trick you can try to keep the dog off from chewing the cable is smear or spray red pepper stuff i am sure they dont like that at all.

just a thought give ya a try with it

Red pepper does not work, due to 1) it wears off, 2) some dogs like the taste.
