Bx v. Romex in 5 family / light commercial building

Hello Everyone,

Could someone please let me know if BX armored cable is required in a 5 dwelling building that also contains a commercial store? The structure is a 3 story stick frame.
Thanks

Depends on the type of construction.

Could you give me some basic guidance? For example if I wanted to hire a lic electrician to do a complete re wire of the store would that all need to be in Bx? Hopefully not because Bx would cost me more than romex both in materials and labor. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks again
