Buried wire through Septic Field

Is it okay per code to run a buried electrical wire in conduit over a septic field? Is there a specific NEC code number that references this?

No code issue but doesn't seem to be a good idea. This will be abundanlty clear if you tear up part of your leach field.

You can do it, but whether you should or not would be dependent on the purpose of the wire.

For example, if it was 12/2 wire going out to a fountain, I'd do it.

if it was more than 15-20 amps of service going to something more permanent, I would not do it.
