Breaker keeps popping


I mentioned the moisture because of the storm and the fact that the breaker at first would not set at all but later stays set for a while,then trips.
This is consistant with a short caused by water at a point that is now drying out.

May not be the problem but just a thought. I work with a lot of damp location troubleshooting and remodeling and have found this once in a while.

Just for the record, I checked the wiring and it is 12 gauge not 14 gauge....my trip!!!! Dave

Thats funny...Either way, a good dialogue was had.

I guess just check all those connections REALLY well...Pete had suggested looking at the wire nuts...

Good News....I finally got it. The hot wire had somehow pitched itself so that it was holding on only by a thread. I ran a new wire and it works fine!!! Thanks for everyone help!! Dave
