breaker box wiring to garage

got a question if someone could please help me out!! i'm attempting to rewire my garage the breaker box from my house has a 30 amp fuse running out to the garage where there is another fuse box in the garage which is just a single 30 amp fuse box but it is the old screw in fuses with a handle that shuts off the power to the box. i'm replacing that and i would like to push more power out to the garage to run power tools and garage door opener and lights and outlets also running a new switch out there cause i have no switch to turn on garage lights they were old pull strings attached to the lines to the outlets. can i have a newer fuse box to replace the old 30 amp in the garage. can i put a 60 amp fuse on my breaker box inside the house and a 50 amp fuse in the fuse box in my garage? And also is there a certain side to hook up the hot to on the fuse in the box in my garage? also the 30 amp fuse has another hot line that leads to something inside on it. will i have to remove this and place onto another fuse in the breaker box?

breaker box wiring to garage

Need more info:

Is garage attached or detached from house?

What type & size of wire or cable is run to the garage? and how many total conductors?

Is there conduit between the breaker panel and the garage?

When you say run power tools, what are you concerned about?

A picture of both panel would be helpful.
