Breaker or ???

I have a detached garage that "suddenly" went dead. I have a sub-panel with 220 and a 50A circuit for my spa. NO breakers were tripped. Went to main panel..again NO breakers tripped. I have reset all breaker switches (turn of/on several times). I believe I isolated the breaker @ main panel that feeds garage..I changed it...it still doesn't work. The breaker I replaced was a double pole/1 bar switch. Any Ideas??

Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt device? I assume that it is possible your garage is on such a protected circuit.

Bad underground wire. Happens a lot when one uses direct burial cable.

If your lines are installed in conduit, then maybe your breaker at the main panel is bad .... but I'd wager on the bad underground first ....
