Boxing in Electrical Breaker Box

Does anyone know of a way to box in an Electrical Breaker Box?

I'm planning on renovating a basement room that has the electrical break box and water main shut off all with in like 5 feet of each other...

I was thinking of just creating a 2x4 wall to enclose both Box and water shut off, the enclosed space would have a door for easy access and enough room to maneuver, would this be sufficient?

Thank You!

Boxing in Electrical Breaker Box

As long it doesn't have enough room for storage you will be fine. You can't store stuff in front of the panel or hang clothes in there.

Build the wall flush with the panel and put a cabinet door in front of it.
