box fill


can 3 sets of 3 wire and 7 sets of 2 wire fit in a 4 gang box all wire is 14 awg

Worse case:

3 3w= 9
7 2W= 14
1 ground= 1
internal clamp= 2
4 devices = 8

Total 34 x 2 cu in = 68 cu in

You box has to be 68 cu in or larger (not common).

I would run my wires so that you reduce the amount of cables in this box.

This calculation is based on NEC, Canadian rules are different.
