Bonding wire


and just a bit of explanation with that.

A plastic water pipe is obviously useless as a grounding electrode so it makes no sense to bond plastic. NEC requires that any system that may become energized be bonded and connected to the grounding system so that it is should become energized, it will ensure the breaker will trip.
