Best way to locate EMT conduit behind sheetrock?
You might be able to do it with a FLIR, or try a metal detector on a whim, which is actually how the ground tracing equipment works, that utilities use to locate stuff. Here is a list of some other gadgets for tracing lines http://www.nextag.com/cable-tracer/stores-html
Also, if there is too sharp of a bend, or it snakes, which is doubtful, it would be hard to pull wire through when they did it originally. Can you post drawings for relation to the outlet & the conduit up in the attic where you lose it.
