Beer Sign
Still remodeling the friend has a large Corona neon that he wants to put above his bar. Does anyone have any idea how much juice this sign will need? The sticker on the transformer just lists 120v.

Thanks to those that answered my previous post.

Well 120v is obvious.. I doubt that it would take over 15amps though to power it.

My girlfriends valentines card will say "I love you more than beer." I saw that somewhere on the net. I hope she didn't :)

Again I have nothing of real value to say :)

I took a web tour just because I was curious and there are a number of factors involved, tube size, length, etc. but I wouldn't worry about it too much. The max. that I found was a 10 amp start and a 3 amp run and that was for a big carnival sign.
I'm guessing that a small sign, say 4 sq. ft. (2 ft.X 2 ft.) will start at 2-3 amps and run on 1 or less.
If you are really concerned, take it to a sign shop or electrician and they can snap an AmProbe on it and tell you exactly.
