bathroom ventilation
I've have read several comments about never venting a bathroom fan through a soffit. I went to my local hardware store they said it was fine to vent through the soffit if I had the right soffit cover. The one they showed me was louvered and self closing when the fan isn't running. Will this type of soffit cover eliminate moisture re-entering the attic because it's self closing?

Find another way to vent it. Out the roof or gable if you can.

It really isn't an issue with the exhaust vent.

Do you have soffit vents for your attic?

When the exhaust fan is on, warm air is exhausted under the soffit. Warm air rises. If there is any opening into the attic, the moist air will get in and condense.

The soffit itself will also get wet. Mold and mildew will likely result.

Hope it helps.

The bathroom vent exhausts air. The soffit is an intake to ventilate the roof. It is generally not a good idea to put an exhaust and intake side by side in any situation.
