Bathroom light switches

I am remodelling a bathroom and will need to move my light and fan switch. I would like to know what the code says for how far away a switch has to be from a shower unit and from a bathtub?

Thanks

this is new to me to think of... normally switches just besides door entry of the bathroom as a default for people to locate in dark...anywhere else kind of against the norm and would be complained by the user( if you don't want to be xyz by the person who use it at their heart all the time)... the door wouldn't be too close to the shower unit ... would it? If it is... one way is to install the switch facing outside wall of the bathroom like many bathrooms... but then people complained about those naugthy kid/man/woman who turn off your light while you taking shower...

Were is the switch now? and why cant you leave it there? I am not sure about the code but as long there is no direct water on it, it should be fine, but I am not a electrician.

The current switch is just inside the doorway, but I am putting in a soaker tub that will be within 2 feet of the switch. I believe it is a no-no to be able to stand in the tub and reach an electrical switch or outlet.

If I put the switch on the next nearest wall, where the door opens onto, then the switch will be within 3 feet of the shower. I am not sure if that is acceptable or if I have to install the switch outside of the bathroom.
